1Historic Belém

Begin your journey in the magnificent district of Belém, home to Portugal's most iconic monuments. Marvel at the UNESCO-listed Jerónimos Monastery, an extraordinary masterpiece of Manueline architecture where Vasco da Gama is entombed. Stand before the majestic Belém Tower, a 16th-century fortress that once guarded Lisbon's harbor during the Age of Discoveries. Visit the imposing Monument to the Discoveries, celebrating Portugal's pioneering explorers and navigators. Complete your Belém experience with a tasting of the world-famous Pastel de Belém, the original Portuguese custard tart made from a centuries-old secret recipe.
2Baixa & Commerce Square

Explore Lisbon's elegant downtown district of Baixa, rebuilt after the devastating 1755 earthquake in a revolutionary grid pattern. Stroll through the grand Praça do Comércio (Commerce Square), one of Europe's most beautiful waterfront plazas, where the royal palace once stood. Walk along the vibrant Rua Augusta, lined with historic shops, cafes, and traditional Portuguese architecture. Pass under the impressive Rua Augusta Arch, a triumphal monument adorned with allegorical sculptures celebrating Portugal's resilience and glory.
3Alfama & Lisbon Cathedral

Discover Alfama, Lisbon's oldest and most authentic neighborhood, where narrow medieval streets wind through whitewashed houses adorned with colorful tiles. Visit the imposing Sé de Lisboa, the city's Romanesque cathedral dating back to 1147, witness to centuries of Portuguese history. Wander through Alfama's labyrinthine alleyways, where you'll hear the soulful sounds of Fado music echoing from traditional taverns. Pause at the scenic Santa Luzia or Portas do Sol viewpoints to capture breathtaking panoramic views over the terracotta rooftops, the Tagus River, and the distant hills.
425th of April Bridge Crossing

Experience the thrill of crossing the iconic 25th of April Bridge, Europe's longest suspension bridge and a striking architectural marvel reminiscent of San Francisco's Golden Gate. As you traverse high above the Tagus River, enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Lisbon's seven hills, the Cristo Rei monument towering on the opposite shore, and the Atlantic Ocean meeting the river estuary. This engineering masterpiece, named after Portugal's 1974 revolution that restored democracy, connects Lisbon to the southern municipality of Almada.
5Christ the King Sanctuary

Ascend to the magnificent Santuário de Cristo Rei (Christ the King), a monumental statue inspired by Rio de Janeiro's Christ the Redeemer. Standing 110 meters tall atop a dramatic cliff overlooking the Tagus, this sacred landmark was built in thanksgiving for Portugal being spared from World War II. From the sanctuary's panoramic terrace, witness an extraordinary 360-degree vista encompassing all of Lisbon, the 25th of April Bridge, the golden coastline stretching toward Cascais, and the vast Atlantic horizon. This unforgettable viewpoint offers the perfect conclusion to your Lisbon adventure, with unparalleled photo opportunities capturing Portugal's stunning capital from its most spectacular vantage point.
